SPRING FESTIVAL REVIEW
SPRING FESTIVAL REVIEW
First my congratulations to all the winners of the various competitions played throughout the week. Also my thanks to committee members and other helpers who have made this week a success.
The sessions have been very competitive with the winners of several sessions only being decided on the last couple of boards.
From the feedback the committee has received members have been very happy with the arrangements etc for the first one in three years. The numbers attending over the whole week are the best since we reopened the club last year. It was good to see some returning for the first time.
My thanks to everyone for taking part and I look forward to continuing successful bridge at the club.

There will be a mentoring session on Fridat 27th May from10am to around 12 noon..
A notice will be put up in the hallway so if you are interested please add your name to the list..It will give us an idea of numbers and if we need to bring in extra mentors. Ideally it is useful to have a mentor at each table.
You do NOT need a partner but it is quite useful to come with your usual partner if you can..
ALL are welcome.
BRIDGE BASE ONLINE (BBO)
BBO is an Online Bridge playing Platform, which you can play on your tablet/iPad, desktop computer, laptop computer, or even your smartphone (if your eyes are good enough!).
WBC hosts 1 online event per week, Tuesday afternoon at 14:00 and you will need a partner.
We need a minimum of 2 (full) tables to run a session, i.e. 3 pairs and 2 robots does not constitute a viable session.
2, 3, and 3 ½ tables are not counted for NGS. NGS only counts when there are 4 full tables (8 pairs). Master Points can only be awarded with a minimum of 3 tables.
